Happy Friday, everyone! Can you believe October is almost over? It feels like the month has flown by in the blink of an eye. Honestly, it still feels like the first of October was just yesterday.
Today’s outfit is a bit of a throwback to my classic style staples. If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll already know I’m a sucker for dark colours – especially black. I know I promised to add more colour to my wardrobe, but, well… here we are. Don’t judge! I blame the weather. It’s been so grey and dull lately that I’m not even sure whether we’re in autumn or winter anymore. And honestly, black just works. It’s timeless, elegant, and pairs with just about anything – well, almostanything. 😉
Now, if you’ve been around since my first post, you’ll probably recognise these heels. I’ve had them for a while, and I’m still obsessed with how comfortable they are. It’s rare to find high-heeled sandals that look this fab and still let you walk for hours without regrets. They’re a definite wardrobe must-have!
For the jeans, I’m keeping things simple with these high-waisted, stretchy skinnies. They’re super comfortable, and I love how well they fit at the waist. Finding jeans that fit properly around the waist and stomach can be such a struggle, so discovering these was a happy little win.
As for the vest, I’ve had it sitting in my wardrobe for a few weeks, unsure how to style it with the colder weather setting in. I finally put it to use by layering it over this nude turtleneck sweater. I think the nude shade balances the outfit nicely, softening the all-black look so I don’t end up channeling full-on Black Widow vibes – lol. The gold detailing on the sandals also ties in beautifully with the neutral tones in the vest.
To finish the look, I accessorised with this stunning fringe leather purse. I love how the fringe and metal accents give it a slightly gothic, modern-chic feel. It’s also just the right size to fit my phone and makeup essentials. For jewellery, I kept it minimal with three simple gold rings that complement the gold accents on my heels, plus a sleek black watch that was a thoughtful gift from a dear friend.
And that’s the look! I hope you love it as much as I do. Let me know what you think in the comments – I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for reading, and have a fabulous weekend. xx
