F R I D- YAAY! Hope you’re all doing well and excited for the weekend ahead. I’m dropping in with another simple but chic look, and let me tell you – this post is long overdue! I originally planned to share it earlier this week, as I wore this outfit to an event last weekend, but better late than never, right? Fun fact – I received so many compliments on this look, especially on the culottes, which honestly surprised me since I’m not usually a culottes kind of person. But I must say, these ones really won me over!
I don’t know about you, but I’m loving this outfit. The peplum blouse paired with the culottes gives it an effortlessly classy, dinner-date vibe. What I really like about these culottes is how versatile they are. If you enjoy dressing up (like I do!), you’ll have no trouble styling them with different blouses to create a variety of looks.
In my opinion, they pair beautifully with whites, blacks, or soft, gold-toned pieces. Plus, they’re high-waisted, which is always a win for that flattering, cinched waist effect – and, of course, they make you feel great when you’re wearing them. They also work perfectly with crop tops, so if you enjoy showing a little skin, you can create a trendy, sexy vibe while still keeping it chic.
Now, let’s talk about this peplum blouse – it’s an absolute must-have! Not only is it gorgeous, but it also works wonders at smoothing out the tummy area (trust me on this one!). I can’t praise it enough – it’s become one of my go-to pieces.
For accessories, I kept things classic by pairing the outfit with pointed matte black court heels and a matte black purse with gold detailing. The subtle gold tones in the blouse complement the purse beautifully, and since the purse is matte, the matching matte heels pulled everything together for a polished finish. Of course, you can tweak this look to suit your style, but I felt this version was just right for the event I attended – stylish, presentable, and not over the top.
I’m definitely planning to style these culottes again soon – maybe with a turtleneck sweater for a winter-friendly version. Stay tuned for that!
I hope you all love this look as much as I do, and I wish you a fabulous weekend!
Kellie, xx

Thank you!
DeleteWow, you look fab! I really love this look. I know culottes are big now, but I somehow can't convince myself to giving them a try, because I have a feeling I'm a bit too short to pull them off. But maybe a high waisted version like yours would do the trick? Anyway, I think styling those pants with a peplum top was a great idea! Something I probably wouldn't think about, but the effect is just wow.
